BERGENDAL ECO & CULTURAL RIVER RESORT

This luxurious resort, situated on the outskirts of the village of Bergendal along the river Suriname and a few kilometres from the natural park, offers three different types of rooms. Riverfront view (C), as the name indicates, has a direct view of the river, but that is not the case for all. Forest View (B) is turned to the forest. A hill in height on the hillside, they have a beautiful terrace facing the majestic trees. Panorama View (A) are real suites with a privileged view: the forest on one side and the river on the other. The swimming pool and bar, in front of the river, offer a true relaxation break, and the buffet restaurant offers a wide choice of specialities. This resort also offers excursions in the surrounding area like the famous Tyrolean, the Tarzan Swing, where you are pouring into the river, kayaking on the river or walking along the mountain or visiting the surrounding villages. You can also count on them to do activities in the day: Visit the Naturel Natural Park, boat ride on Brokopondo Lake or an approach to the surrounding biodiversity accompanied by a naturalist guide. Please note that you speak English or French before making a visit, most of the explanations being in Dutch only. Environmental side, here some efforts are undertaken to recover water from the river and recycle the plastic bottles, but all the walls remain air-conditioned and the journeys are all motorized.
