The largest church in the city, a Brabantine Gothic basilica with an unfinished tower in Dordrecht
This church, the town's largest, embodies part of its identity. Built in the Brabant Gothic style, it features an unfinished tower that can be climbed. Built in 1504, it is not the city's oldest church: paradoxically, that honor belongs to the Nieuwe Kerk. Its 65-meter tower, slightly leaning due to the unstable ground, is reminiscent of Pisa. The carillon, with its 67 bells, is one of the largest in Europe.
