Glebe House Museum & Garden
Georgian Colonial house built by Reverend Marshall who founded the Episcopal movement in the United States
A visit to this beautifully restored house allows you to immerse yourself in the revolutionary America of the 18th century. Built by the Reverend John Marshall, this house was home to his wife and nine children. The building is a fine example of Georgian colonial architecture. He founded there the first episcopal movement in the United States. In addition to the visit of the house, one should not miss the well-tended gardens that perfectly evoke the bucolic Litchfield Hills region.
