This beautiful museum is entirely dedicated to American art. Photographs, drawings, paintings, sculptures are gathered in the permanent collection. Among the artists represented, George Bellows, Alexander Calder, Marsden Hartley, Edward Hopper, Roy Lichtenstein, Louise Nevelson, Augustus Saint-Gaudens... Maine artists have their own section, including many works from the Ogunquit Arts Colony founded here at the beginning of the 20th century.
