WILLIAMS COLLEGE MUSEUM OF ART
Museum that houses the largest collection of works by the Prendergast brothers and offers temporary exhibitions in Williamstown
The northern Berkshires are rich in important museums. Although this one, located on the Williams College campus, does not rival the Mass MoCA or the Clark, it is worth a little detour, especially since it is free. It houses the largest collection of works by the Prendergast brothers, two Canadian-American painters of the early 20th century. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions, often focusing on contemporary art, which are quite enjoyable.
