He created the famous 1920 marble depiction of Abraham Lincoln sitting in a preoccupied chair at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens with other sculptures by French, which can be visited free of charge. The museum is quite difficult to find, it is located at the end of a dirt road in a forest.
