MOONSHINER 28
From Pirate's Gap to Walhalla, South Carolina, the Moonshiner 28 is a popular tourist route 105 miles (170 km) long that crosses landscapes where forests, mountains and waterfalls alternate. His name recalls the history of the underground distillery, which was important in the Appalachians, from the th to the early th century. Indeed, the illegal distillation of alcohol had been hidden, at night and with moonlight. The contraband whisky that bears the same name (Moonshine) is made with corn. It is distilled at 95 °. Due to its extreme flammability, its preparation is very dangerous.
