KENTUCKY BOURBON TRAIL
Bourbon Trail is not precisely marked in the field since the connecting routes between the various distilleries in the associated region (9 at the end of 2016) are only suggested. On the other hand, the Kentucky Distiller's Association website provides an online map to locate these distilleries and a guide to make the most of the possible connecting routes, by car or bicycle. During your first visit, a passport will be given to you, to be stamped by all the distilleries in order to receive a gift at the end of the tour (a t-shirt). This passport can also be downloaded. On a fictitious route between Louisville and Lexington, the distilleries concerned are: Bulleit (Louisville), Evan Williams Experience (Downtown Louisville); Maker's Mark (Loretto); Jim Beam (Clermont); Heaven Hill (Bardstown); Four Roses (Lawrenceburg); Wild Turkey (Lawrenceburg); Woodford Reserve (Versailles); Town Branch (Lexington).
Allow three days to connect the different visit and tasting points.
Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. Do you want more? So here is the Craf Tour, which invites you to visit 10 artisanal distilleries at the end of 2016. Here are these artisanal distilleries, and the order of visit possible from Paris: Hartfield & Co. (Paris); The Old Pogue Distillery (Maysville); New Riff Distillery (Newport); Barrel House Distilling Co. (Lexington); Wilderness Trail Distillery (Danville); Limestone Branch Distillery (Lebanon); Willett Distillery (Bardstown); Kentucky Artisan Distillery (Crestwood); MB Roland Distillery (Pembroke).
