HISTORIC RAILPARK & TRAIN MUSEUM
Located in an important communication corridor oriented north-south, Bowling Green's history is largely linked to the evolution of transportation in Kentucky. The L & N Railroad Depot, which houses the current museum, was built in 1925. At that time, more than 20 trains left the site daily, which then represented a major hub for both freight trains and travellers between Louisville (KY) and Nashville (TN). Discover the railway epic in this part of Kentucky during your visit. A guide will make you visit different cars, such as a Second World War hospital car or a three-section car that was in service during segregation. Then, browse the museum inside to discover the social and cultural history of the railways. Many playgrounds and discoveries for younger people make this visit particularly interesting for families.
