Almost 20 000 visitors come here each year to approach the stars of yesterday, blessed and maintained in this huge property at the gates of Lexington. Old Friends is a non-profit association founded in 2003 by the former film critic, Michael Blowen. The latter and some volunteers are involved here (and in another centre located in the New York State) with nearly 130 horses, which are for most of the standards whose sporting career has ended. The guided tour of the site takes place on foot and allows you to know the history of many of them.
