HIGHWAY 61 BLUES MUSEUM
This museum devoted to blues focuses especially on native artists who have lived in the delta such as Charley Patton (1891-1934), Jimmy Reed (1925-1976), James'Son'Thomas (1926-1993), Tyrone Davis (1938-1970) and many others. Two levels are devoted to the exhibition that brings together memories and personal objects, dédicacées photos and portraits, press articles, works of art and informative panels. The clay human skulls you will see in some windows are James's "Son" Thomas, who was also grave and sculptor… It is very likely that his son Pat Son Thomas is present in the museum during your visit, always ready to interpret for you a piece on his guitar.
