MISSISSIPPI INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE MUSEUM
The wood industry has been one of the major industries in the region for over 100 years. Soulé Steam Feed Works is a local company that manufactures many machines (most of which worked on steam) for large mills between 1885 and 1930.
To highlight this priceless heritage, the Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum has restored 5 buildings in their appearance in the 1920 s. The hangars include several workshops and dozens of machines and tools developed in an environment that does not seem to have changed since the machines stopped. A huge and interesting climb over time. Every year, on the first Friday and Saturday of November, the Soulé Live Steam Festival & Rail Fest is an opportunity for open doors.
