It is in the pleasant Park Avenue district, where Victorian-style houses flourish, that this warm hostel is located. Built in 1905 and completely renovated in 2015, the residence combines the charm of yesteryear with modernity. You will find six spacious, bright and well furnished rooms. Every morning, a breakfast with a hot dish is served in the dining room. To explore Park Avenue and its rows of houses, all you need to do is borrow a bike - it's free and it's very easy to get around the neighbourhood by bike.

We had a wonderful stay at the Darmouth House, starting with a note in the morning of our arrival to tell us that they could accommodate our early arrival request, followed by a warm welcome by Gary. The room was beautiful and in the front of the house in the second floor as requested. Breakfasts were delicious and both Milena and Gary were very attentive to any needs that we had. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and we will be back!!

Lovely staff, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast! We stopped here for an overnight stay, on our way to Buffalo NY to see a play. Milena and Gary were fabulous hosts. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The accommodations are clean and the decor is a beautiful victorian style. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have stayed at the Dartmouth House twice now and both times have been great! Finding the location was easy, onsite parking is always a big plus for us, the accommodations were fantastic and homey. Breakfast was great both times we stayed there as well!
The location of the BnB is great as well. Nice walking distance from some local restaurants!
I would recommend for anyone who looking for a little staycation or passing through and needs a great place to spend the night or a couple of days!

A lovely place to spend a staycation night in Rochester, we've always looked for someplace cute and well located for just that purpose and are glad to have now found it!
Even at breakfast, the hosts were just the right amount of friendly, helpful, and hospitable. Of course, the wildcards here are the other guests. Just use your typical coping techniques and you'll be fine.
As far as the rest of the stay, it was great. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Breakfasts were great. Location is ideal.
This is a great B&B run by great hosts. Highly recommended.
