DARWIN CORDILLERA
This cordillera, discovered by Commander Robert Fitzroy, is one of the planet's last terrae incognitae.
Discovered by Commander Robert Fitzroy, this majestic mountain range was named in honour of the famous naturalist Charles Darwin. An emblematic mountain range at this end of the world, it is still secret and its peaks are still to be explored. It is located on a peninsula to the west of the great island of Tierra del Fuego and is said to be one of the last terrae incognitae on the planet: it was only in 2011 that a high mountain military group (GMHM, based in Chamonix) crossed the entire cordillera.
