An imposing glacier, some one hundred metres high, to be visited on cruises through the fjords of Tierra del Fuego.
On the Beagle Channel is the Bay of Pia and its imposing glacier of the same name. A mastodon that will crush you from its shadow of ice, a hundred meters high. At the end of 2016, an international team of 17 scientists went to the glacier to carry out a study: global warming explains its retreat of about 10 metres each year. You can still come and contemplate it during cruises organised on the fjords of Tierra del Fuego.
