HÔTEL DU NORD
Establishment with terrace in Brassay offering gastronomic and traditional cuisine with breakfasts.
In the kitchen of this very friendly establishment, the chef combines his desires with market arrivals to concoct a gastronomic and traditional cuisine where authenticity rubs shoulders with the art of the table with subtlety. Here and there, on the menu, Burgundy snails, chorizo-crusted cod, poached pear with caramel and speculoos. The establishment also has a comfortable hotel. The little extra: breakfasts served on the terrace in fine weather. In short, this is the perfect opportunity to stop off in Morvan.

In this early 2014 plenty of good restaurants are closed.
I wanted to offer a good meal to Parisian friends who visited me this Saturday.
For the first time, I reserved a table in Hôtel du Nord by know that the room is rather simple. Quería however to have a good meal with my friends because I have the custom of a certain level of quality in this area.
We were received with much kindness and choose our table. They are elements favourable in our eyes.
We had already left to the day before, we chose the regional menu at €26 which is a reasonable prices for a meal- pleasure.
We are all " régalés" by the flavours of prepared Burgundian dishes " maison". I chose the eggs meurettes, trout with almonds du moulin tala (which is at the exit of Brassy), a fresh cheese with cream and crème brûlée with vanilla as I like them with colourful, warm and cold granite.
Cocktails and wine are satisfactory.
We therefore spent a good afternoon all together to this restaurant.
It is a place where I would return.
The owner come to chat with us at the end of the meal and the waitress was smiling and helpful to us to photo with our request to keep the memory of this friendly day in Morvan.
