FÊTE DU PRINCE
Take part in the Principality's festivities, on this great day of National Day, when all of Monaco celebrates its sovereign!
If we have our 14th of July, the Monegasques also have their National Day, or "Sovereign's Day". On this traditional holiday on November 19, red and white flags bloom in the windows and crowds gather in the Place du Palais to see the Prince and Princess saluting from the balcony. The Prince reviews the troops and the whole Principality is celebrating. This festival was created by Prince Charles III and was first set for November 4, in honor of his patron saint. The date has always changed according to the sovereigns.
