More than 300 varieties of roses are gathered in this wonderful green setting, in memory of Princess Grace of Monaco.
The Princess Grace Rose Garden is a poetic universe in the heart of the city. Created more than thirty years ago, this green space enchants lovers of beautiful flowers in the Fontvieille district. Completely redesigned and enlarged with an additional 1,500 square meters, the rose beds have been reorganized into six themes: the roses of the princely family of Monaco, perfume roses, "Historical Roses of Princes and Princesses", botanical and collection roses, shrubby landscape roses and rambling roses, not forgetting new varieties that have won medals in international rose competitions. In total, about 300 varieties of roses are presented, i.e. about 8 to 10,000 roses depending on the type of rose. A hydraulic animation with a basin and a waterfall wall allowing to have an overall view on this garden add to the serene atmosphere of the place which also has an ecological character since no chemical product is used for its maintenance and that many materials of vegetable origin are solicited to limit the consumption of water related in particular to the watering. A pleasant place with a calm atmosphere and exceptional scents. Today, with the Ecocert Ecological Plant Area label, the Roseraie is above all the garden that bears witness to the elegance of Princess Grace, so beloved of her husband, Prince Rainier III. A unique garden in the world where it is good to be in love for a romantic stroll.
