Plaza Merliot is one of the best and biggest shopping malls around San Salvador. And with good reason, it's often jammed with traffic! Once inside, you'll find all kinds of shops: handicrafts, bookshops, clothing and sports stores, beauty salons, food courts, fast-food outlets... it's not really a tourist destination, but it's still a good option if you need to do a bit of shopping or are looking for specific goods.
