This new company has a small iron ferry, the MV Mwande, which can accommodate up to 80 people. Its recent water release helped to offset the interruption of the big MV Ilala ferry. The new ferry connects Likoma via Chizumulu (Tuesday and Thursday) but also Chipoka and Nkhotakota and Metangula in Mozambique.
