STONE HOUSE MUSEUM
This fascinating museum recalls the history of the first Europeans to arrive in Malawi. This house, built in 1903, was the home of Dr. Robert Laws, a Scottish missionary who led the Livingstonia mission for fifty years. It was the first house in Central Africa to have electricity and running water. You will read letters and books by Dr. Laws and learn about the ancient laws that governed Nyasaland. Photos depict the lives of the early inhabitants of Livingstonia. Antiques of the former householder are on display.
