This lodge without particular charm overlooking the lake remains nevertheless one of the best options for a stopover in the region. The rooms are clean and very decent, overlooking a large, quiet garden and are only a few steps from the private beach with its breathtaking view of Mozambique. The establishment has a pleasant swimming pool to relax between two excursions. Breakfast is not great but good wifi. Mikoma Beach Lodge is located about 10 km south of Karonga, and can be reached via the M1 and a 1 km long track.
