Very popular with South African travellers, this lodge is owned by a couple who have worked in the tobacco and sugarcane industries. With its bar-restaurant providing live music and views of the lake and its islands (Domwe, Thumbi and Mumbo), its activities (village tours, kayaking, diving), its clean communal sanitary facilities, its shaded camping pitches next to the beach, its two mosquito-screened dormitories and its pleasant, fully-equipped rooms, Fat Monkeys Lodge is a must-see!
