With its stunning view of Ria de Alvor and the beautiful promenade along the ria that is opening onto a large bay, a brother and a sister, the hosts transformed in 1992 an old fisherman's house into a restaurant specialised in the Algarve regional cuisine and especially honouring sea produce. They nicknamed it "Ababuja", a rather strange name! Know that it is related to its location along the bank of ria, it comes from a popular expression which means "to be close to something" and still means foam of the waves. You can savour good fresh fish and meat grilled in front of you, but also, specialties like the bean soup with prawns and sea razor clams, the octopus cooked in the oven and its sweet potatoes, the fried prawns with orange, the spaghetti with clams and prawns or the traditional cod with fresh cream in a warm and local atmosphere. It is highly recommended before an afternoon on the beautiful Alvor beaches where you can digest this delicious meal peacefully.
