GOOSE ROCKS LIGHTHOUSE
Massive lighthouse listed in the National Register of Historic Buildings with two rooms and a pleasant terrace.
A massive lighthouse, built in 1890 and composed of two parts: the upper lantern and the central metal and concrete caisson, all set into the sea. It has been on the national register of historic buildings since 1998. Prices for overnight stays - from May to October - may seem high, but the entire amount goes towards maintaining the lighthouse. The lighthouse has two bedrooms, a small fully-equipped kitchen, a compost toilet and a pleasant terrace from which you can wave at the sailboats in the bay. A unique experience.
