MUSÉE DU COSTUME
A museum city in Château-Chinon, bringing together the Musée du Septennat, the Musée du Costume and the Maison du Morvan, the Musée...
Since 1992, the 18th-century Buteau-Ravizy family mansion has housed the Musée du Costume, with over 5,000 exhibits tracing the evolution of French fashion from the late 18th to the 20th century. Since 2019, due to the renovation of the site and the creation of the Cité des Présents museum complex (which will bring together the Musée du Septennat, the Musée du Costume and the Maison du Morvan), the museum has been closed. It is scheduled to reopen in spring 2025 as part of this new cultural city.
