The summit of Mount Lofty, at 710 meters above sea level, is one of Adelaide's most visited spots, especially at weekends. It dominates the city and the hills, and offers views all the way to the ocean. The tourist complex here houses the visitor information center and a modern, friendly bar-restaurant, The Summit Cafe & Function Centre, with picture windows opening onto Adelaide and a superb terrace. Several footpaths start from Mount Lofty and allow you to explore the surrounding area. Free access. Pay parking lot.
