The Pichi Richi is a network of tourist trains that runs several times a week between Port Augusta and Quorn, 40 kilometers apart. It follows the route of the Old Ghan Railway, the old railroad used by the famous Ghan. Some of the locomotives used are steam powered. Information is also available from the Wadlata Outback Centre (the Visitor Centre in Port Augusta). Be careful, the train is never heated and the windows are often open for photos, so don't forget to bring a jacket or even a blanket for the children.
