MAGNETIC HILL
A site in Orroroo telling the story of a vehicle drawn up the hill by a mysterious force.
It all began in the 1930s, when a driver stopped on the hillside and placed a stone on the back of his car's wheels to wedge it in place and prevent it from rolling down the slope. He was then surprised to see his car moving in the opposite direction, as if drawn up the hill by a mysterious force. Try it out: put your vehicle in "neutral" position, and watch it move on its own. Magnetic attraction or optical illusion? In any case, from Orroroo to Peterborough, everyone's talking about it.
