HERITAGE BLINMAN MINE
A copper mine that lets you travel back to the second half of the century and meet the miners and their families.
In the center of town, the Blinman copper mine was the town's source of wealth from 1862 to 1907. At the height of the mine's operation, 1,500 people lived in the township. Since 2011, a portion of the once mined tunnel system has been completely redeveloped and opened to the public. Thanks to a particularly innovative sound and light system, visitors are transported back to the second half of the 19th century to meet the miners and their families. Good to know: closed shoes are essential.
