PARCO ARCHEOLOGICO DEI MASSI DI CEMMO
National park used to value, protect and promote rock art.
Perhaps the least interesting of the parks at Capo di Ponte, it was the first rock art site to be identified in Val Camonica in 1909. Here there are two very large rocks dating back to the 3rd millennium B.C. where you can admire more than 200 engravings of scenes from everyday life. The national park was created in 2005, as an extension of the small state-owned area "dei Massi di Cemmo" which had existed since 1964. It serves to enhance, protect and promote rock art.
