HUMPATA

This municipality of a few tens of thousands of inhabitants, located close to 2 000 m above sea level on the southern western edge of the central plateau, is famous for its strawberries exported to the major cities of Lubanga, Huambo, Benguela and Luanda. As the first national producer, Humpata wants to increase its production to reduce imports from neighbouring countries, particularly South Africa.
