EX-COMPANHIA DO CABO SUBMARINO BUILDING
This listed building National Historic Monument is to be admired in Benguela. Built in iron and wood, the building arrived in Benguela disassembled from England. In the th century Benguela was the preferred communication route to unite London in Cape Town. The cable cable installation was launched in 1889 on the West coast of Africa. The West African Telegraph Company connects Cape Town with Namibe, Benguela and Luanda. Shortly afterwards, the telegraph literally turns around the world and revolutionized communications. This building, symbol of the conquest of the telegraph and international communication, is now home to the Provincial Directorate of Culture and is not visiting.
