The French organization responsible for promoting French culture and language in the world is based in Port Vila. An antenna also exists in Laganville on the island of Santo as well as on the other islands (libraries and small structures). The Alliance française de Port-Vila is very active because of the size of the French community in the city. It is a place of meeting, learning and culture (music, cinema, exhibitions).
