An ancestral Loire vineyard to explore on guided tours in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire.
Ancestral vineyard of the Loire, the hillsides of Cosne and Gien have crossed the ages without stopping the culture of the vine. Three products benefit from an AOC: rosés, whites from the Sauvignon grape variety and reds which represent 32% of the production and are made from a blend of Pinot noir and Gamay. The Coteaux du Giennois vineyards now cover nearly 200 hectares, two thirds of which are located near Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire and one third in the neighbouring Loiret region. Guided tours are organised by the various Tourist Offices.
