Initiatory ceremony for the transition to the Maghreb rank. The most impressive dance is the Roma dance. This dance takes place every year north of Ambrym and is followed by the slaughter of pigs. The dance of the Roma is secret and exclusively performed by the men who wear their Roma masks and destroyed costumes immediately after the ceremony, so that the spirits cannot haunt the dancers.
