Built in the twelfth century by Pierre de Courtenay, Count of Nevers, the door of Marquis d'Ancre is the last monumental door drawbridge of the fortified walls of Decize by which you entered the city. It was rebuilt in 1468. Located along the old ditch fed by the Loire, the Tours are, with the door, the last remnants of the city walls built in 1194.
