Le Pont-Levis, a site with a frame structure in Dirol.
The Nivernais canal has this particularity that the other Burgundian canals do not have, namely the presence of movable bridges. In Dirol, two drawbridges follow one another over the commune: the Thoury bridge and the Marais bridge. For a long time unused, the Marais drawbridge was restored in 2013: redone identically, it now serves the fields and the right bank of the canal. As for the Thoury drawbridge, it still has a framework structure: like the other structure, it was also restored in 2013 and returned to its original location. Two architectural curiosities not to be missed on a stroll along the canal!
