The tunnel you will visit here was built during the Roman and Byzantine periods. It is part of a large water supply system that fueled Caesarea. From its source (Ein Tzabarin Springs) the system travelled 23 km. You can venture into a restored part of this tunnel (280 metres) where the water, however, rises up to 50 centimetres. A guide will accompany you but you must have a lamp, suitable footwear and spare clothing. Before the walk, a minutes film in English is presented.
