GAMBIA NATIONAL MUSEUM
Museum retracing the history and culture of the country and the sub-region through old documents and exhibitions.
Open since 1985, this museum traces the history and culture of the country and the sub-region through old documents and exhibits on three floors. Unfortunately, the museum is a little dusty, and it's a little heartbreaking to see these instruments and other exhibits so poorly preserved. However, if you've brought along any pencils, pens or paper for the kids, you can leave them here. An urn has been set up by the "Open the Gate" association, which distributes them to communities in need.
