DUN-LES-PLACES MEMORIAL
A place of remembrance in Dun-les-Places, serving as a living chronicle of the Second World War in the Morvan
A place of remembrance as one meets many in this corner of the Nièvre where the resistance was particularly active, but where the war also caused many disasters. For three days, from 26 to 28 June 1944, Dun-les-Places experienced horror: three thousand German soldiers looted and set fire to the village, causing a veritable massacre. The memorial relates the facts and exposes the memory of the Second World War in the Morvan to never forget.
