Impressive and superb mosque in Samarinda, one of the largest in Southeast Asia, with remarkable minarets.
Also known as the Baitul Muttaqien mosque, it is one of the largest in Southeast Asia. The whole thing is awe-inspiring! It consists of a dome and 7 minarets, the main one of which is 99 metres high, in reference to the 99 names of Allah, and has 15 storeys. Four minarets are 70 meters high, and the other two at the entrance gate are 57 meters high. The mosque can accommodate over 10,000 worshippers. An absolutely magnificent building.
