I had the brisket and Mac n cheese.
First the star; the brisket. The meat was super tender and juicy, moist with the perfect amount of fat and char. Taste was very good and overall it was just a great example of bbq, not just for the west coast but in general. I’d give the brisket a 4.7/5 star rating!
The Mac n cheese, well it was a disappointment. Not sure if it’s always like this but the noodles were to soft almost to the point of being soggy, the cheese sauce was nice and thick but something was just off about it. Flavor was okay but nothing to write home about. It seemed like this was not freshly made and I was really disappointed in the Mac. My rating would be a 1.5/5 stars for this.
Overall not sure if I just got an older batch of Mac or what, but the bbq itself is what redeemed them and I would go again just for that.
The ribs were tender, well seasoned. Brisket was pretty good, although some really dry parts. The barbecue sauce was good and helped with the dry brisket. The hot links were bomb, well seasoned and just delicious. Corn bread was delicious, can’t fault it. Potato salad was one of the best I’ve had. Mac and cheese was disgusting, super disappointing. The cheese had curdled and there wasn’t much of a taste. Rice and beans were also disappointing, no flavor or seasoning to it.
1/2 rack of ribs and brisket were super tender, the ribs were also fall off the bone soft. Both had a nice bark was nice and smoke ring shows how long it’s been in the smoker and the bbq sauce was a nice complement to the meat.
Mac n cheese was flavorful, I think I taste Gouda and and a little heat from it. Very satisfying.
Potatoe salad was creamy and light, good mouth contrast with everything we got.
Corn bread made from scratch and has chunks of corn in it.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cool little spot off highway 1 inside of an orange trailer.
Waited 30ish minutes and spent $55 dollars for everything above plus a soda. Split between two people and had left overs. Worth it and would definitely come back.
