Mireille and Pierre, a couple of French-speaking Belgians, passionate about Crete where they settled more than ten years ago, offer theme days to discover authentic Crete (groups of 8 people maximum with a comfortable mini-van and a French-speaking guide):
Gourmet route, discovery of the wines and the soil: A gourmet getaway in the Cretan vineyards, meeting winegrowers to taste a wide selection (12 to 15 wines) from local grape varieties. Tasting accompanied by cheeses, olives, and stale bread rolls.
Rendez-vous in a family olive-growing estate for a commented visit, punctuated by tastings! Very special choice of restaurants for stopovers to taste high quality traditional cuisine or more creative Cretan cuisine.
Excursion "Traditions and Cretan cuisine of Krassi" : Visit of the charming traditional village of Krassi. Walk along a mountain trail to discover aromatic plants, meeting with a shepherd to learn about the traditional processes of making cheeses such as Kefalotiri or Graviera (with tasting). Meeting with village women to learn how to cook together, in a private corner of a restaurant, some typical Cretan dishes. Meals in a local tavern with an à la carte menu, with, of course, the joy of tasting the dishes prepared together. Visit of the kazani (the public still in the village which is still used to distill the famous raki), the kafeneio, the old church...
