The "Wolf's Den" was Adolf Hitler's main headquarters during the Second World War. Located in the woods near the hamlet of Forst Görlitz, it attracts tourists with its history and atmosphere. The site boasts 80 structures, including 50 bunkers, all camouflaged and surrounded by barbed wire and mines. In 1945, the Germans blew up the fortress, leaving only the present ruins. The headquarters included a power station, railway station, airport, casino and cinema. Guided tours are available.

En pleine foret , un site impressionnant par son importance historique et par sa taille . Pas si flippant que ça dans la mesure ou c était un QG et non un lieu de mort . Bien sur ses locataires ...

The heavy! unmissable! impressive. Built in a protective forest over 6 mi ², it was the headquarters of Hitler for more than 500 days. Each dignitary of Reich had his personal bunker and the site, served by mp3 Reichbahn, had anti-aircraft defence, garages, cinema… Claus von Stauffenberg perpetrated his disastrous attack of July 20th 1944.
All bunkers were partially destroyed; was restored to be transformed into a hotel. gloomy!
