RED ROCK PARK
Red Rock is a major recreation and entertainment center for Gallup and the surrounding area
Surrounded by spectacular red cliffs formed over 200 million years ago, Red Rock was first occupied by the Anasazi, then by the Navajo from the 18th century onwards. Here, you can hike several trails through red rock and canyons. The 5,000-seat Red Rock Arena is ideally suited to outdoor shows, including the rodeos that are frequently held here (such as the Gallup Lions Club Rodeo in June), as well as the Inter Tribal Indian Ceremonial (August) and the Red Rock Balloon Rally (December).
