MERCANTILE WHITEHALL
Building constructed in 1900 that housed a general store and post office in Halltown.
Built in 1900 on two floors, this building housed a general store and a post office on the first floor. Until a few years ago, it displayed a treasure trove of antiques and collectibles from floor to ceiling. The hours and days of operation were admittedly a little fancy, even in the height of the season, but the visit was well worth it. Jerry, its manager, hasn't been heard from since 2017 and the front door remains permanently closed. No one seems to know if the store will ever reopen, with or without Jerry.
