A gigantic photovoltaic plant comprising nine solar power stations in Daggett.
This gigantic photovoltaic installation was the largest in the world when it was commissioned in 1990. It consists of nine solar power plants, installed between 1984 and 1990 in the Mojave Desert. Two of them are located east of Daggett (SEGS I and II - 44 MW). The others are west of Barstow, at Kramer Junction (SEGS III to VII - 150 MW) and Harper Lake (SEGS VIII and IX - 160 MW). Their combined output provides power to over 230,000 homes.
