Arcadia racecourse with capacity for over 50,000 spectators and 2,000 horses.

This racecourse was inaugurated on December 25, 1934, and can accommodate more than 50,000 spectators and 2,000 horses. Famous for its Art Deco architecture and its breathtaking view of the San Gabriel Mountains, it is considered one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world. It hosts many prestigious races, including the Santa Anita Derby and the Santa Anita Handicap, as well as the Breeders' Cup. It was, during the World War II period, used as a relocation (internment) camp for Japanese Americans.
