KITU KIBLU BEACH HOUSES
Hotel in the heart of nature that offers comfortable rooms, each with a terrace in the incredible canopy.
Incredible tree-hung safari tents are set up here, in a nearby forest on this beach north of Kilindoni. You sleep in the heart of nature, in comfortable rooms with wooden floors, each with a deck in the incredible canopy. The showers and toilets are on the ground, in the middle of the trees, in the open air. The beautiful white sandy beach with mangroves nearby and an agency that organizes all boat tours on the island complete the setting. A roots experience...

I stayed in the dorm which was basic but very reasonable for being right on the beach. Bathrooms are outside, which was mildly annoying when it was raining, but amazing to shower in nature. I travelled solo so really appreciated the communal dining table, great to swap stories with staff and other travellers.
But the very best bit is the wildness. You are surrounded by it, walk down the entrance steps into this magical wild world. Bush babies and lizards and sun birds. I was even lucky enough to see some fireflies.
Highlight was the whale shark excursion which the owner took us on, he made the trip very interesting and informative with his knowledge about the sharks and his obvious passion.
Another great feature of Kitu Kiblu is how they don't try to force any thing down your throat and you never feel like a money bag.. In stark contrast to our stay on Pemba Island.
Also the food is amazing.
